Edinburgh, Scotland (Scotsman): A Gaelic spell checker has been launched containing more than half-a-million words. The Scottish Executive said it is aimed at ensuring Gaelic cements its reputation as a language of the future, not the past. The European Language Initiative (TELI) project - Pròiseact an Dearbhair - took less than three years to complete and has twice as many words as expected.
