Pune, India (Pune Newsline): If the number of internet users in India has grown annually at a steady but uninspiring rate of 5 per cent, the reasons are not hard to find. In a country of over a billion people and over 100 languages, it’s not surprising that the masses still do not have access to computers.
But, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) hopes to change all that with an ambitious project to develop computer tools, resources and technologies in 22 official languages of our country.
