Semantic interoperability
|
| |
Kentucky, USA (IT Business Edge): Despite its name, semantic interoperability is vital for exchanging information, in translation as well as in business. This article defines just what semantic interoperability is: “[it’s] having a common understanding of the meaning of the information you exchange. It's a multi-level problem. On one level, you could say it's a natural language translation problem, because if you are exchanging information in English and in French, you have a semantic interoperability problem.”
