Speecheasy and stuttering

Ohio, USA: The SpeechEasy is a small, thumbnail-sized piece of equipment worn like a hearing aid. The device picks up the wearer's voice, digitally modifies it, then replays it back to the wearer, slightly delayed and in a higher or lower pitch. The wearer perceives that he or she is speaking in unison, and stuttering often is greatly reduced.
The device can be recommended for people who don't respond to traditional speech therapy.
