Learning to communicate

Minnesota, USA (Duluth News Tribune): The University of Minnesota Duluth Robert F. Pierce Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic has helped people learn to communicate clearly for years. While the clinic tests high-tech devices such as the Eye-gaze Response Interface Computer Aid system, many of the clinic's clients need less technology. The clinic is part of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in UMD's College of Education and Human Service Professions. To gain hands-on experience, UMD seniors working toward their Communication Sciences and Disorders degree and graduate students, under supervision of certified speech pathologists, work with the clinic's clients.
