California, USA (OCRegister): Further to the recent decision by the US Senate to make English the “official language”, it is worthwhile recalling that rights of Native American Languages, as related in this article. Excerpt: “1990 The Native American Languages Act recognizes the right of Indian tribes to use native languages for instruction in schools and gives official status to American Indian languages for the purpose of conducting tribe business.”
