Indiana, USA (Fort Wayne News Sentinel): Born in Iran, reared in Turkey and fluent in several languages, Sibel Edmonds was hired by the FBI soon after 9/11 and given top-secret clearance to translate classified counter-terrorism intelligence documents and recordings. The Virginia resident began voicing her concerns about incompetence and possible espionage in December 2001, and was fired on March 26, 2002.
