Melbourne, Australia (the Age): A school principals' group has called on the State Government to abandon its new funding system for students with language disorders, describing it as an "unjust" policy that puts children with special needs at a disadvantage.
Under the new Language Disorder Program, schools receive an overall amount for students. Previously, students with language disorders were part of the wider disability program and funds were allocated on an individual basis.
