California to prohibit child interpreters

California, USA (San Francisco Examiner): A bill that would end the use of children under the age of 15 as interpreters in hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices has passed the State Assembly 41-34.
Assemblyman Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, said the purpose of the legislation is to put an end to a practice that stresses many children
