English-language only bill opposed by Native Americans

Arizona, USA: Native American leaders have asked lawmakers not to vote for an English language bill, saying it would stifle Indian Nation cultures and deny them the opportunity to continue traditions thousands of years old. The tribal leaders met with legislators Jan. 18 for the 10th Annual Indian Nations and Tribes Legislative Day at the state Capitol.
