Italy (newbrainframes.org): Copyright has acquired all-pervasive status in recent years, entering the realms of the everyday in various forms. It appears in the public sphere most commonly as a newspaper story about the losses caused by piracy or the latest “threatno-innovative” attempt to fight piracy. The authors of this report argue “that an understanding of the insertion of the discourse of copyright into quotidian imagination is critical for an insight into the profound transformations that are taking place within the realm of the production and distribution of knowledge and cultural commodities.”
