Yellowknife, Canada (CBC North): The Hay River hospital has withdrawn the letter of reprimand it sent an employee for speaking French on the job (see our report yesterday). The woman was reprimanded after she was overheard speaking French to a co-worker at H.H. Williams Hospital. The hospital said its working language is English, and that speaking French or aboriginal languages was rude and impolite.
