Supreme Court of Canada dismisses language-rights appeal

Ottawa, Canada (CTV): The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed a language-rights appeal by a francophone activist from New Brunswick. In a 5-4 decision, the high court says municipalities in the province are not bound by a section of New Brunswick's Official Languages Act requiring "institutions" to conduct legal proceedings in the language of choice.
