Civil rights report on language barriers and access to health care

Washington, USA (U.S. Newswire): The New Hampshire Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights announces the release of its report, Language and Access to Health Care: Easing Barriers in New Hampshire. The report is based on a community forum the Committee held in Manchester at which state health care officials and representatives for limited-English proficient (LEP) clients participated. Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, who communicate through American Sign Language, also offered expertise.
