Interpreter wins right to stay in USA

California, USA (The Argus): A federal judge ruled Friday that interpreter Gerry Dulalia (born to Filipino parents, but whose father fought for the US in WWII) could remain in the United States and continue his work at Ohlone College, interpreting for those who are both deaf and blind. The decision came after the Department of Homeland Security agreed in February to drop deportation proceedings against him on humanitarian grounds.
