Disability Discrimination Act and sign language interpreting

Belfast, Northern Ireland (Belfast Telegraph): The RNID hosted a meeting on Friday at which officials from the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister will outline proposals for amendments to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and seek views and comments. The Act lists a number of factors that should be taken into consideration: the effectiveness and practicability of providing an interpreter; the financial costs; the extent of any disruption caused; the availability to the employer of financial or other assistance to help make the adjustment.
