Gay linguists fired from US military

Ohio, USA (Out in America): According to Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.), since 1998, the military has discharged 20 fluent Arabic speakers and six fluent Farsi speakers under its 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy.
US military veterans, allies, and activists from across the country are joining forces to urge Congress to pass the Military Readiness Enhancement Act (MREA), a Congressional proposal to repeal the military's ban on lesbian, gay and bisexual personnel.
