Language disorders disadvantaged

Melbourne, Australia (The Age): Students with speech and language disorders will be disadvantaged by changes to State Government funding, according to the professional body for speech pathologists.
It also has concerns about a new program, which began last week, to train teachers to work with these students. "Teachers will be expected to deliver a language-disorder program, rather than funding being directed towards additional, specialised speech pathology services," says Speech Pathology Australia president Trish Bradd.
