European study confirms damage to auditory nerve by mobiles

Connecticut, USA (Fairfield County Weekly): European studies suggest that extensive that cell phone radiation may have serious consequences for the auditory nerve. In 2004, a three-year Swedish study headed by Anders Ahlbom and Maria Feychting, professors at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, studied 750 Swedes who had used cell phones for 10 years or more, the first study of its kind to follow long-term use. They discovered that subjects were more likely to develop a rare benign tumor called an acoustic neuroma on the auditory nerve where the phone was held.
