Bonobos on the path to extinction

Iowa, USA (GreatApeTrust): Understanding our own language and its impact on who we are and what we do is facilitated by looking and listening to others’. Hence the importance of this report by one of the world's leading scientists studying bonobos in Africa. It says an area that once had hundreds of the apes now has fewer than two dozen and that, and that if conditions persist in the Wamba forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), "bonobos will be extinct very soon."
