New York, USA [WebMD Medscape (registration required)]: The numbers of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other communication dysfunctions is predicted to increase considerably over the coming decades as people live longer. Researchers have now developed a more accurate modification of a standard test to detect cognitive impairment and dementia that takes only about 10 minutes to administer, according to a report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences for March 29.
