London, UK (Guardian): An award-winning poet and the acclaimed editor of a generation of Scottish writers, Robin Robertson finds inspiration in the ancient classics. New poems have come sparingly ever since, but into this slow schedule Robertson has inserted translations: of the Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer and of classical literature, the latest of which is a new translation of Medea, the account by Euripides of marital betrayal and revenge, which is published this month.
