Canada: Report suggests $1 billion for Canada's two official languages

Ottawa, Canada (Globe&Mail): The federal government should pump at least $1 billion over five years into promoting Canada's two official languages, the head of a federal bilingualism panel says. It was among a variety of recommendations made in a 50-page report by former New Brunswick premier Bernard Lord — a document that was released two months behind schedule after being appointed in early December to head the commission.
