Beijing, China (EastBay): Smart Communications, a New York City-based business that sells language translation software, is finding customers all over China. With help from the U.S. Commercial Service, it recently made a $65,000 sale to Huawei, a large Chinese telecommunications company based in Shenzhen, which will use the company's software to translate and simplify technical documentation into English. Smart also is helping Chinese airlines convert flight manuals and training information into English, the official language of aviation.
