$4.65 billion five-year contract for translation services disputed

Washington, USA (AP): The U.S. Army is challenging a government watchdog agency decision on a disputed $4.65 billion five-year contract for translation services in Iraq and Afghanistan. Two weeks ago, the Government Accountability Office, which investigates how taxpayer dollars are spent, backed a protest filed by L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. The GAO found that the Army did not "reasonably apply" evaluation factors laid out in the bid.
