SDL attracting investors
|

Edinburgh, Scotland (Scotsman): Away from the major business names, a number of less well-known companies have been attracting investor attention. One such is SDL, a provider of translation software that has seen its business boom with the rise of Internet demand for translation services. In a highly fragmented market, which is said to be worth some £4 billion a year, companies have been searching for a fast, efficient and economical means of translating their offerings to the global market and SDL has gone a long way to filling that gap with the acquisition of customers such as Reuters, Audi and Best Western.
