Fiji – Chinese translators needed
|
| |
Nadi, Fiji islands: Further to the adoption of the "One China" policy, Fiji and China are holding negotiations for visitors from mainland China to have their visa stamped on arrival at Nadi rather than applying and waiting for one in Beijing. A trial period would start soon and the Tourism Ministry is looking for translators.
The deal with China is expected to help the tourism industry, which should reach the $1billion mark by 2007.
